So its 2008. Man that was fast. Since my discovery of facebook, blogging has taken a backseat in my imaginary Nissan GTR. To my single digit audience out there…i am back. One year older and married, i hope my views on life have been warped further than they already are.

There were so many time that i wanted to update this blog, but the thought of having to think of things to say, pictures to post made me do other things like Facebook. The mindless clicking of the mice (i have one at work too), the upgrading of my Petrolhead F1 car, training my ultimate fighting Ninja, checking out the pics ppl posted, adding applications that just increase the loading speed of my profile page…and the list just goes on and on.

Facebook is evil…well sorta. It almost ruined my relationship…with my Xbox 360…sorry baby.

Well, this post is just to get me off my arse and update it more often… so i’ll be seeing u…and u… and u…u too….urgh

Well, I’m back. Back from In Camp Training and Bali (sadly).

ICT was almost a torture if not for the discovery of eBuddy made possible by my beloved Sony Ericsson P990i. Ok…not that i was online much, but it was a good distraction. Spent most of my time watching Prison Break Season One. I used to dread ICT, but this time round i enjoyed the break from work and the male bonding. Definition of ‘male bonding‘ : Gambling, reading men’s magazines, drinking, smoking and watching/exchanging porn. Next ICT in November 2008…can’t wait.

After ICT, it was off to BALI!!

This was the longest break i’ve taken since starting work…and boy was it good. We were also there for our pre-wedding photo shoot which was quite an experience.

We stayed at The Elysian (http://www.theelysian.com/), which is located in Seminyak. Its a beautiful and secluded compound of villas a stone throw away from the beach. The famous Ku De Ta bar is also located just next door. Each villa comes with its own pool so basically we just chilled out at the poolside whenever we had time. Booze, Cigars, my baby and nothing to do…i could really get use to this. The only thing that was missing was Fluffy.

Bintang beer tastes alot like Heineken and cost a quarter of the price. We downed enough of it to fill our pool…but thats probably the alcohol taking.

We managed to rent a bike and explored downtown Seminyak. Did the usual touristy things. Shopping was good and we even bought 2 Tatamis. The sights were awesome and i had a blast taking pics. Was a great trip, and we’ll be back again for sure.

test…

This text message was sent from my SE P990i. Was in camp and was fiddling with my phone. Managed to get online via eBuddy.

So wats been happening? Well for one, we got a new spanking white Fujitsu Lifebook A6030 notebook. Its gooooooooood. 3G of RAM, Intel Centrino Duo, Finger Print Recognition, and a side of whipped potatoes please.

Work has been hectic, and thats why the posts have not been as frequent as I would have liked them to be. Was Mum’s B’day recently as well as Mum’s and Dad’s wedding anniversary. Cheers to you guys. We loves ya!

Went fishing again this afternoon with Illusion and Batman (not their real names). We went to Semakau landfill. Yup….thats where all our rubbish is dumped. Was a nice place and the weather was great. Learnt how to cast my lure and sliced my finger in the process. No pain no gain they say… Closest i came to catching anything was when some black tipped shark came to check out my shiny bait. Score at the end of the day? ZERO, NIL, NADA.  Was fun none the less.

Golf is one of those sports where you either think its boring or easy. i picked it up a few years back since dad said it a good social sport. However, over the years my favourite ’social sport’ has been getting piss drunk with friends. Nothing beats that taste of vomit in your mouth when you emerge from your comatose state in the morning. Clothes still on, hair still waxed, except now it looks like a banana onion prata landed on your head.  Anyway, enough of my weekend. Back to golf.

Recently i had the honour of being the ‘player with the most potential to improve’. Basically that just means i can’t play for nuts…or raisins…or watever else kinda finger foods you can think of. Everything went well on the driving range but all that went out the window from the first tee. After losing about half the balls i brought (golf balls), a few near crashes in the buggy, a tiger (beer) it was off to the showers. Ever heard the term ‘to picture them naked’ when you are nervous? Well, i’ll just recall that image in the changing room the next time i have to make a presentation to upper management.

Mitsu C.P.T.R is back in action and has had her HID headlights enhanced and oil pressure meter fixed. However, like all cars you drive after an accident, there are always minor things you start noticing. Like a clicking sound, a squeak, a hum, a moan and a groan… sounds u hear if you’ve ever had sex in a car.

The people from starhub came over to fix my scv point today BUT couldn’t do it cos they needed access to the ORIGINAL tv point which is ENCLOSED behind a FALSE WALL. Looks like its time to call Mr. Contractor Man!! Need to get this outta of the way so we can finally move in.

US Open is gonna start…Go Federer!

Dinner at Dozo (More pics in Flickr)

This place is a MUST GO or DIE!!!

Dozo at Valley Point. http://wineanddine.asiaone.com/Wine%252CDine+%2526+Unwind/Reviews/Story/A1Story20070817-22223.html

Food is fantastic and the service is good. Rooms are available for privacy if required. One of the nicer places i’ve been recently. Will definately go back!

GO OR DIE!!!

She’s not hurt anymore. We managed to mend things and now all is running smoothly. I missed her so much when she wasn’t around…

Picked her up this morning, they told me she didn’t protest much. They banged her back into shape. She put on a few pounds thanks to some plastic surgery…but she still looks good.

I wonder if she remembers me.

I insert my hard shiny key into her and she comes to life with a shudder. I missed that sound. I gently grip her and prod her repeatedly. Her response is just like before…loud and high pitched.

She remembers.

Baby’s been sick…Haven’t seen her in 4 days so it was great that we could have lunch together today with Fluff and my bro.

We ended up at a doggy cafe along Mohd Sultan. Cool place with lotsa dogs. Food ’so-so’. Ambience and service ‘good’. Had a good time there playing with other dogs. Fluff as usual stuck close by. Don’t think he was in the mood to make friends… But the people were nice and more than keen to chat.

We spent the rest of the afternoon at our new place cleaning and debating on whether to get a desktop or laptop. Laptop seems to be winning.

Had dinner with Mum & Dad at Crystal Jade. Too bad Fluff couldn’t come along, but we made sure he had a good dinner (from the dog cafe) none the less.

Service ‘excellent’. Food ‘excellent’. Ambience ‘excellent’. They need to allow dogs next…But they might end up on the menu.

Save Gia, pee in the sink.

Sticky and salty. Thats what i was after a whole day of fishing. Yes fishing…not your pond or fish tank type…but out in the beautiful waters of Singapore.

I managed to catch a whole bunch of fish…2 to be exact. One actually hooked itself while i was having lunch (best nasi lemak i’ve had in ages)…but its still counted cos it was MY rod.

I’m all burnt now…but it was worth it!

Thanks to TL for all the organisation!! Look forward to my next trip out to sea! More pics in Flickr for all you seamen and fish lovers.

Well, like every other year i watched the National Day Parade from the comfort of my living room. Nothing beats sitting on a sofa half naked in the air conditioning watching the sweaty people waving their flags and lights. Plus, you can go pee anytime u like.

It was a great event and i enjoyed the beginning and end of it. Not to mention the part when nemo-wannabe fell while attempting a stunt on his blades. Planes were cool, helicopters were cool, boats were cool and so was my living room. I just don’t get the whole middle part of the event…looking at the poor secondary school kid’s expressions, i couldn’t help but laugh. They basically had ’si bei sian ah’ written on their faces. Been there, done that. Was part of the NCC marching contingent in 93′. 6 months of weekend trainings…fun! Ok…middle part finishes, i just finished my 2nd pee break…finally the end!

Singapore’s musical fowl a.k.a song bird Kit Chan belts out the new National Day song. I could barely hear her a couple of times…not your fault Kit (enter Knight Rider theme…de de de dede de de dede). Great voice. The papers wrote that many cried while she was sang the song. I cried too… cos the lyrics were like a primary school nursery rhyme… i felt kinda insulted. I did like the opera like rendition of the other song sung together with the racially balanced cast of Singapore’s version of ‘FRIENDS’.

Seeing the ministers in their blinking lion hats and waving the lights brought a smile to my face. Maybe they should wear that to all future functions…at least there would be a real reason to smile.

BANG! BOOM! KAPOW! Waaaaa…Ohhhhh… Ahhhhh… Fireworks. Our tax money going up in smoke. Not to fear people, the new ERP rates should have that covered for now.

Happy bday Spore! Wishing you many many money.
